This grand and architecturally significant home was designed by architect Arthur B. Heaton, responsible for many of Washington's treasured commercial and residential buildings, including several on the National Register of Historic Places.

This immersive 8-hour hands-on course is designed for cake artists who are ready to elevate their craft and create show-stopping wedding cakes that reflect elegance, precision, and high-end design.

This is a rare opportunity to train with one of the world's most talented cake artists. Under the guidance of

Dr. Lincoln Alexander, you will learn how to conceptualize, structure, and decorate multi-tiered wedding cakes with premium finishes and modern techniques used by top-tier cake artists around the world.

From smooth fondant finishes to handcrafted sugar florals and elegant structural designs, this masterclass blends technical skills with creative flair—perfect for those looking to attract luxury clients or build a standout portfolio.

By the end of this 1-day masterclass, you will be able to:

    • Understand the fundamentals of luxury wedding cake design.

    • Create a cohesive design plan based on client briefs or themes.

  • Structure & Stack:

    • Properly dowel and stack multi-tiered cakes for stability and transport.

    • Learn how to safely construct tall or extended tier designs.

  • Flawless Finishing:

    • Achieve sharp-edged, flawless fondant.

    • Master luxury textures (e.g., metallic leafing, stenciling, texture mats).

  • Decorative Techniques:

    • Create elegant sugar and wafer paper flowers.

    • Explore modern design elements like molds, embossing.

  • Color Theory & Application:

    • Mix custom color palettes suitable for luxury themes.

    • Understand the use of airbrushing, dry brushing, and painting for artistic accents.

​Prerequisite:  This is a detailed class covering a wide variety of techniques. You will be taught step by step, however it's important that you have basic fondant skills such as experience covering a single tier cake.

​Payment Plan Details:

  • Deposit Payment$320: Due today to secure your seat

  • 2nd Payment$320: Due June 2nd

  • Final Payment$310: Due at the beginning of the Masterclass week

 

Once you complete and submit your registration form below, it will be reviewed and you will receive a welcome and payment email. Please use the PayPal link that will be provided to you and submit your initial $320 deposit.

Cancellation Policy
Participant cancellations are nonrefundable. However, if space is available in another city, you may join the class at no additional charge. You may also send someone else in your place. The Masterclass may be canceled if the minimum enrollment is not reached. In such cases, participants will receive a full refund.
